Robin & Kid Star

October 2021
10 karat white gold, aquamarine

This implied Star of David was commissioned by a dear friend of mine for her nephew, a beautiful blue-eyed Jewish boy. His mothers' names are Robin and Yael, and they're represented here by the robin in flight and the running kid goat (Yael means "goat" in Hebrew). He's represented by the aquamarine at the center of the star, and is being carried forward (Hebrew is a right-to-left language) by his parents into the future. Moreover, the robin is carrying an olive branch in her beak, which represents the Jewish value of Shalom Bayit (peace in the home). With this star around his neck, he'll always have his family with him through whatever he faces—may he wear it in health!
