Robin & Kid Star
I wanted to create a custom piece for my nephew, a lovely piece of jewelry that would be a nod to his blended heritage and would be appropriate for him to wear as he grew from a young child into an adult. Josh appreciated my vision and came back to me in a timely manner with ideas that both excited and inspired me. Working with him was collaborative and fun. His craftsmanship and attention to detail is stellar. He kept me in the loop during the entire process, and the finished product is outstanding. I cannot recommend Edelstein Metalsmiths enough.
The Wedded Well
You don't expect planning a wedding to be at all fun, but working with Josh on the rings absolutely was! He suggested taking my drawings and turning them into a bas relief, something I never would have thought of—which made our rings a truly collaborative project. Before we even got to that point, my husband and I had a call with him to discuss our general design tastes so that he knew exactly what we were looking for (I remember right after we signed off, my husband turned to me and said, "hey, that was fun!"). Considering how complex the project was, at every stage Josh was professional, transparent and generally awesome to work with. I can't recommend him highly enough.
Flowing Ginkgo Wedding Rings
We knew these rings would be the most important jewelry we'd ever own, so we knew we wanted something unique that reflected our story. But turning our journeys into wearable art... for that, we needed Joshua! His genuine interest in us as people, enthusiasm for helping us create a design, and artistic skill to turn that idea into reality changed a transaction into a friendship and an item on our "to-do list" into its own chapter in our story as a couple.
Azah Chamavet Ahavah Rings
Joshua blew our minds with the exquisite wedding bands he created for us. He found a whimsical yet profound way to combine our respective musical tastes (when we met, he was a deadhead, I a metalhead), our romantic conviction that we are together till death do not us part, and our past lives as Jewish hippies. Working with Joshua was a joy from start to finish, and the rings completely delight us. They have so much texture, containing the depths and angles of a miniature world. We feel fortunate to have found this artist!
Palladium Braid Wedding Bands
We commissioned matching wedding bands from Joshua. During our consultation he administered a questionnaire that nailed my aesthetic and from there, came up with a design we both loved. He's timely, honest, and a great person to work with.
